Advice for an EVGA Hadron build

I want to build a small computer. I want to install steam os on it when it's out of beta so I'd like it to be very easy to move around between the office and the sitting room. I also just love how small machines look so it's an aesthetic decision as well as a practical one.

Here are the components I've chosen so far. Nothing is set in stone yet so anything can be swapped if there is a good reason to do so. I've linked everything to the site I'll be ordering from. I'm in Europe so ordering from places in the US isn't really an option.

ASUS H87I-PLUS (C2)

EVGA Hadron Air, 500W 80+Gold, ITX

16GB Kit Crucial Ballistix Sport Series DDR3-1600, CL9

Zalman CNPS8900 Quiet CPU-Kühler

Samsung SSD 840 EVO Basic 250GB SATA 6Gb/s

WD Green 2TB SATA 6Gb/s

Intel Core i5-4570 Box, LGA1150

ASUS HD7870-DC2-2GD5 V2, AMD Radeon HD 7870, 2GB, PCI-Express

I will be picking up a couple of monitors to go with this as I'm upgrading from a laptop. I'm thinking of picking up 1 or possibly 2 of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/QNIX-QX2710-LED-Evolution-ll-Matte-27-2560x1440-SAMSUNG-PLS-Panel-PC-Monitor-/130933173797

I'm worried about if the graphics card can handle 2 of those tho, so I might need to downgrade of them. I definitely need 2 monitors tho. I'm also open to suggestions on these too.

I'll be using this machine for developing and gaming.

I'll be using Unity3D a good bit on it for developing.

Games I'm playing right now are Eve online and Civ 5.

In general I like to play strategy, sim and RPG games. C&C, Tropico, Anno, Skyrim, Fallout etc. I like to play small indie games too but any machine can probably run those. Not a big fan of FPS's.

I'd like to keep the pc build around the €1,000 mark. But if something is really going to make a big difference I'd be willing to throw a bit extra at it.

If anybody has this case can you comment on how you find it. I'm worried about noise levels and cooling. I don't mind some noise but if it's likely to sound like a jet engine on my desk then I might reconsider the case.

Any advice would be appreciated :)

Two changes that I would suggest :

1. Swap out the AMD 7870 with a Nvidia 760, they cost about the same but the 760 is much faster and consumes less power.

2. I believe the stock cooler should be good enough since you are not intending to overclock.

simularly priced? much faster??? seems like you are an nvidia fanboy. If you would not be biased you would know, that the HD 7870, is a R9 270(x), and when OC'd, the GTX 760 will be like 1 FPS faster so yeah.

power consumption you are correct, but the zheapest GTX 760 you can find costs 70$ more. You would need to game 10 hours a day for 4 years before you would have spent 70$ on the extra electricity...

1. I am not an Nvidia fanboy, I use an AMD APU and am not biased towards any of the company.

2. The prices in europe does not change much, so the price drops are not initiated there, hence even after all the price drops in USA, the prices in Europe still remain about the same as what they were launched  at.

So the price of the 7870 at launch and the 760 at  launch is about the same, the same is true for here in India.

3. As the performance goes, the difference between the Nvidia 760 lies in the same league as the 7950 which is of course faster than the 7870.

Did a bit more looking in to the GPU and it seems the one I picked out won't fit anyway.

So I'm thinking about the R9 270X.
