Hello all been lurking for awhile but looking for some advice on where to go with my homelab server. I turned an old (actually not that old) desktop into a Proxmox server. Mostly for learning purposes as I’m trying to get into the IT industry. Been using it for 6 months or so just fine, but now I’m looking to add the various Arr stack applications to it.
Been doing a lot of searching through Google and Youtube and finding a ton of information on this topic. Most of the guides that I have found have been using docker. However, I would prefer to stick with LXCs simply because this would make it easier to visualize and label everything directly in Proxmox. I also am planning to put together a separate standalone NAS running TrueNAS and docker containers sometime in the future.
So I put together a mockup diagram of what I was thinking and was hoping someone with more experience could tell me if my setup is possible utilizing LXCs?
The other part I was looking for assistance with is how to route all Arr stack traffic through an LXC that is connected to a VPN. How would you suggest acheiving this? I know Proxmox recently implemented SDN functionality which I thought might work. Is there a better way to achieve this? Using an openWRT VM to route the traffic?
Any advice or pointers is appreciated!
