I got myself a couple of cheap Adaptec 71605/71605Q 16 SATA port cards as my current 8 port card was 2 ports short for me. One seems be dead which is the reason I got 2 in the first place. The issue is that it is not detected under ASRock B450 Gaming ITX/ac motherboard there is nothing in lspci. The thing is it is detected in device manager in Windows and even drives work. I also tried with Ubuntu live boot on the windows system and it worked as well. Why would it not be detected at all under ASRock B450 Gaming ITX/ac motherboard? I saw someone mention that it needs 8x PCI lanes but I don’t see that setting in BIOS and would assume it would be x16 or x8 by default.
