For various server configurations I am looking for adaptable open source test benches. The challenge in finding a good test bench often lies within the varying server motherboard form factors.
For instance, Gigabyte server motherboards like the MZ32-AR0 and the MZ72-HB0 state the E-ATX form factor, but when placing them in an E-ATX compatible case, like the fractal torrent case, you always find some mounting holes not lining up with the case mounting holes.
On the other hand, the majority of server motherboards have proprietary form factors, like the ASRock Rack GENOA2D24G-2L+, which would greatly benefit from an adaptable open test bench.
Recently I came across the [PC Bench Open Frame R1.0](https://grabcad.com/library/pc-bench-open-frame-r1-0-1) from Harm Chang Woo, which is largely made of Aluminum Profiles. Furthermore, Harm also seems to have 4U prototype cases in his portfolio; which would even allow for testing different thermal designs.
I was wondering which adaptable open test benches you came across and what your thoughts are on Harm’s work
