I dont recommend overclocking a processor due to the fact that without extensive cooling capabilities you run the risk of burning it up.
even with good cooling and monitoring you run the risk of damaging and degrading its performance.
as a repair tech Ive had to replace a large number of processors over the years due to people overclocking them too far
if you want a gaming machine build one to specs without overclocking but there is no such thing as overkill when it comes to cooling.
