The companies donate a small number of cards... so maybe they got 5 or 10 of the 9800 GTX+ cards... well, these cards go to the video studio and NOT inventory... they are free products that a company has donated toward a good cause...
Next, Tiger sells this limited amount for a ridiculously low price... and all the money goes to the cause... so it's really a win for everyone....
