I just built my friends pc and when we got round to installing the graphics card it says on the box and with gpuz it says it s a 9800gt but it has the option of tri-sli, I thought that they had put n the wrong card, it is a double slot cooling solution has a dvi, vga and hdmi output, it is made by plait but this has left me confused.
does the top have two connectors like this

Cause it only has that one SLI connector on the top of the card.
My 9800 gt has only one SLI port. Look on the card where the SLI ports are located. If there is only one then it only supports 2-way SLI.

If there are 2 sli ports, then it supports 3-way SLI

But anyway, it is impossible, cause no 9800gt's have a 3-way sli port

id say it is impossibe, but it could have two connectors if they used the pcb for a different card. that alone wouldnt make tri sli work though.
Actually there is a 9800gt that has tri sli

I have a evga 9800gt and it only does 2 way sli
get gpuz or whatever its called and it will tell you what card it really is

I checked all the Palit 9800GT cards and they all have 2 way SLI support and only 1 notch on top.
This must be a 9800GTX then or some kinda "tweaked" 9800GT.
