i have a recycled Qumulo qc208 system with 36drives, came with 2xintel raid card. 1x4 time drive where onboard and sata only. im using 36x hgst SAS drives, so i think no problem i will buy a 9305-24i with cables!
bought 9305-24i with, 2x90 degree SFF-8643 to Mini SAS SFF-8087 thinking it would be fine nope 
see picture easier to explain with it !
Now any tips for me ,anybody know slimmer cable that would work? Or any other thing i have no thought of.
only solution now is buy a LSI 8i card, (i really wanted to minimize number of pci slot used for raid as i wanted to use a couple of 10gb / 40 gb card)
Use a dremel and make a hole on top of case and lose 1/2 u for this 5 mm hunch ?
