I'm having issues with my two Sapphire 7970 OC with Boost cards. I repasted one yesterday, and crossfire no longer works (doesn't show up in Catalyst). I tried cleaning the contacts with a poly eraser, but that did not work. One of the cards I have has different VBIOS than factory, and I don't have a copy of the original VBIOS.
So, my question is two-fold: does anyone have a copy of the original slot 1 and 2 VBIOS, and does anyone know what's wrong with my crossfire?

If not perhaps try flashing your other cards bios to the broken one.
As to what may be at fault. One of two things as it was working prior to new flash.
Sucks either way...
I have copies of both original BIOS files
or possibly your Catalyst version itself? My crossfire doesnt show up half the time either with the new catalyst but i know its working from the fan profiles ( at least back when they were air cooled) and the fact that i am pushing 142 fps inside a mmo.
