I was watching Logans video today and he said that 7870 goes better with amd fx8350
well how about 7950? which one goes better with that one?
Depends on what you need the video card is great but the processors vary based on what you are doing...
Either way, you really cant go wrong. If you want a 7970, maybe you could drop down to a 6300, and you'll probably be able to buy one
Well the i5 is better for just gaming, if you plan on doing other things like video edits/rendering etc I'd go with an FX8350..
This is kinda a rhetorical question, like there's no certain special combo that works perfect together..what he meant by that is he'd rather use an FX8350. That's all.
Even for gaming I honestly would rather have the 8350 just because there's no big FPS difference between the two and 4 extra cores is always cool.
Id say it depends on a few things, cooling being one of them, the 3570K overclocks better and will beat the 8350 at the same clock speed, but the 8350 is stock at 4.0-4.2 so if your going to overclock more then a little the i5, if you just want something that works plain and simple, 8350, theyre both neck and neck depending on what you do.
I have forgotten to say, I will be buying Corsair H60 for cooling and yes I will be doing some OC-ing
I'm thinking about grabbing the 8350 as well today after work...
get a silver arrow or havok air cooler they do about the same as H80 if u got space in your case or just go with h100 or h100i or some other water coolin
Ive seen people on overclocking forums push an overclocked 7950 with a PII 965 @4ghz with zero bottlenecking. Dont buy into the notion that your CPU matters as much as your GPU. Buy whatever you feel like getting as the debate is completely irrelevant.
