6 port NIC

I’m looking for a NIC that has 6 ports to use for my OpnSense, found the LR-Link LRES2006PT so far.
Are there any people here use and or recommend?

Question, why do you need 8 ports?

I would personally get a 10Gb NIC, and then just split into VLAN’s on a switch which would essentially get you as many ports as you want

trying to avoid the security risks of tagged VLANS

Honestly its not really a concern, especially for a home setup like I assume you are using

I plan to port forward 443/80 to host a web server for my services, so im trying to create as much hardware level segregation as possible

Being on a VLAN honestly is no concern with that

I can’t think of a single network I’ve worked on that didn’t do the exact same thing

If i were to used tagged vlans, what are rge best security practices I should implement? also still kind of curious if theres a 6 port gigabit nic

Your switch is what would take care of admission control / tagging and untagging.
