5700x3d C-states || wont go past c2

Hi there,

i dont know if i even have an issue tbh. As the title says my 5700x3d wont go past c2. Atleast thats what powertop and turbostat says. Lower c-states arent even listed. Afaik it should atleast do c6.

Im running Fedora 42
System : 5700x3d, Gigabyte Aorus Master x570, 6900xt

Ive checked and fiddled with every Bios option that could have anything to with it. Global C states are enabled etc.

Cpupower idle-info also show c2 as max. Has anyone ever encountered this and knows how to enable lower c-states ? Or is this just some OS Bug, as in the CPU is going into c6 but it wont show in turbostat ?

Welcome to your first AMD CPU. Yes, Zen3 doesn’t have C-States beyond C2. No worries.

Sadly, I’ve just came across the same problem with my AORUS X570 Master and ROG Strix X570-E Gaming. Both Running a Ryzen 5900X and 5900XT. Tried it on Truenas Scale 24.04 and Fedora 42. Guess the Kernel version doesn’t do any difference…
