$550/$600 Gaming Build

Hello everyone, I am looking to build a $550/$600 gaming build. I don't know what parts to build considering im still on console and hardly know anything about what parts are upgradable and compatiable. I have a Newegg build (includeds a monitor so it about $600).

Here are some questions I would like to know:

(Is it okay to put Amd and Nividia parts together)

(Is 2 cores from a i3 still good)

Here are some games I would like to play:

Bf3, Guild Wars 2, World of Tanks, Smite, Skyrim (HD Texture Packs + Mods), Minecraft HD Textures, Total War + Mod)

I want a future proof build for atleast a year. Can play all games at 1080p at high/ultra graphics with around 40 fps if its possible. Thanks guys - Cya

putting amd and nvidia are fine, racial intergration is what we strive for

2 cores from an i3 is, pretty good for gaming. though some i3's have hyper threading allowing windows to see it as a 4 core processor

okay so like, if what you're getting at is 1080p 40frames+ for the next year of games

thats possible but with a few exceptions such as crysis 3 and bf4, might need to turn that down a bit

but if you're talking about games like AC4/5/69, you'll be fine, and bioshock.

all the games you've listed will run buttery smooth i think.

so heres the build

Is it possible to make a decent intel and niviadia build out of $600? Also with the i3, the hyperthreading does it work in games?

The intel and Nvidia alternatives for that price range aren't very good, a quad core Phenom will spank an i3 that would be in that price range. As for graphcis, we've seen many times that a 7870 outperforms the 660, and even matches with the 660ti in a large amount of cases.
