$500 gaming pc without case & hdd

Hi guys, I am building a gaming pc for a friend, he already has a good case and a decent 7200rpm SATA II Hdd.

So, the budget is around $500 - 450€ (I am from Italy) and he is going to use it mainly for gaming. He probably won't do any overclock.

This is my try to it, tell me if there is any problem or if I could optimize it.

  •  AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor[1] €108.75
  • ASRock 970 Extreme3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard[2] €65.00
  • Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Low Profile €59.00
  • Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 2GB Video Card[4] €162.00
  •  XFX ProSeries 450W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply[5] €44.00

Thanks you very much guys.

It's a good build, however i reccomend getting the 550w psu as 450w is a bit lacking, also i reccomend getting the hd 7870 instead of the 660 as it does have better performance at a better price.  http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-HD-7870-vs-GeForce-GTX-660

The fact is that both the 550w and the 7870 cost more and I would go way over the budget.

The Sapphire 7870 is 190€ (+30€ from the Gigabyte 660 OC) and the XFX 550w is at 63€ against the 43€ of the 450w (+20€). My budget is around 430-450€.

what about the corsair cx500w, the 450w will not be compatible with your system

Also if you are not overclocking you won't need that motherboard.

What would you suggest instead?

By the way, everyone I asked about the psu said that 450w will be more than enough to support that build.

Where are you buying these part from, as i can not find them at that price on pc part picker italia

i would bite the bullet and get a better psu, it would be ashame not to overclock the gpu and cpu. The fx 6300 is a great overclocker and you can overclock it safely on the stock fan.
