Any thoughts would be welcomed.

Might want to list the parts. Just press enter, or use the bullet points. Will be easier to read.

A pentium and a 7770 should play quite a number of games. It really depends on the experience that you want, the quality that you want, the specific games that you wish to play. The £300 setup would certainly struggle to play some games.

If you're looking for something that's upgradeable, you need to specify that. Give as many details as possible.

Refer to the sticky on the build-a-pc forum. It outlines many questions which would really help us both.

Well if you can afford the fx6300 and the gtx 660 that is a much better computer and has very respectable performace.

For £500, without an OS. Can be upgraded. If you're in education, you can get an OS for free.

*cough* piratbay *cough*

Piracy is just a stand-in, until we can afford the real thing... right, guys?

indeed :D

Yeah...course *hides pirated OS CD's*

Or you could just get Ubuntu for the time being. It's free, not illegal, and can still play games on that OS.

Go with berserker's build , good bang for buck and would last you way longer than the £300
