To whoever is interested: ultimately I took @infinitevalence 's advice to purchase the used Supermico cases linked earlier in the thread. It was immediately evident upon arrival that they were superior in every way, and it ended up costing (marginally) less than the subpar case and a power supply quoted in the original build. I’ve spent the last few weeks assembling the nodes, and today I configured Slurm (and it seems to be operating correctly? Might have some questions on this in the future…). Here it is:
