1st Budget Gaming PC, is it any good?

Hello all.

I'm trying to build my first gaming pc, been doing research and looking around at costs and such. I'm trying to limit the budget to around $550, i live in the south eastern US, and i hope to possible get into overclocking the cpu in the near future.

Are there any improvements that i can make to this list? is this a potato or will this actually work?

Looks good. It's pretty easy to get the second gen AMD FX up to 4-4.5 GHz with good airflow just try to keep the voltage down so it doesn't get too hot.

Not with that motherboard, no.

Better motherboard is needed for these 8 core CPUs, especially if you want to overclock.  Grab a Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P or MSI 970 Gaming if you're on a budget.

Derp! I should have looked at the specs a little better, the power phase isn't very nice. I can def recommend the Gigabyte though as that's what I'm using right now, and it's done really well for the last year that I've had it.
