10GB ethernet cable for direct connection to lan cache/network storage

Hello, I have this pcie card Amazon.com I intend to connect my desktop to my lan cache directly and bypass my router entirely. The two machines are 5-10 feet away from each other.

Edit for clarity: I intend to use the same pci card for both machines
What is the correct type of network cable that I need to get to work with the above card?

Whats on the other end? Thats SFP+

If its another SFP+ card something like this would work

If its Copper then something like this

Same NIC on both machines? Get a DAC : https://www.fs.com/products/74621.html?attribute=9152&id=186388

@xzpfzxds @mutation666 I intend to use the same pci card on both ends.

Then just get a DAC cable

@mutation666 Alright, thank you.

Does SFP+ require special cables for this?

I know with ethernet, there used to be separate wirings for cables connecting routers-to-routers or computers-to-computers rather than routers-to-computers. At some point, NICs could handle either type, but I think both wiring methods may still exist.

Is this the case for SFP+?

Thats not really a thing anymore with modern gear. The devices will negotiated the proper connection and just do it all in software.

SPF+ cables can be
Copper DAC
Fiber DAC
Various SPF+ Modules with physical connectors (Fiber SM, Fiber MM, Copper)
