As of now I haven’t yet seen anything like it on any channel, so I was kind of hoping that you guys could to it?
I see 10G NICs more and more integrated but have no real idea which is actually a good NIC for say a NAS to PC direct connection.
What I’m looking for would be the following:
RJ45 and SFP(+) NICs that are affordable and not. AQUANTIA, Intel, Mellanox, other OEM cards?
Windows and Linux compatibility and the corresponding settings that should be used to max out the…
…Speed (Obviously)
Heat (Those seem to get hot, is direct cooling in any way necessary)
Also where to buy them for a good price (Ebay? (There are many chinese sellers there)), maybe?
And maybe other things I just can’t think of right now.
