10 GB Network Card Crashing PC when Installing Driver

Hi everyone

I’m trying to setup a 10 GB network at home but when I install the network card to my windows 10 PC it crashes whenever I’m installing the driver.

Network Card: SOLARFLARE SF329-9021-R7 S6102 SINGLE-PORT 10GBE PCIE LOW PROFILE
Motherboard: Asus STRIX B350-F GAMING ATX AM4

Thanks in advance for your help!

Try booting a Linux live cd and see what happens. Has the card worked before?

Assuming latest driver from vendor? Also it shows up in device manager?

yes it shows up in device manager Untitled

Counterfeit card maybe?

No drives for non windows server OS

Hard pass

There are some drivers for some solarflare cards upstream (sfc) even claiming to work nicely with sr-iov with kvm. 329 Is meant to be supported in sles/rhel… interesting that it doesn’t work
