ZFS Proxmox move - Suggestions please

It doesn’t work recursively.

Nah, that’s right. Left side of the comma is the directory on your proxmox host, and the right side is the mountpoint in the container. You can set it up in your container however you want. I ended up mostly using the same directory structure in the container as outside of it so I didn’t have to mess with my samba conf file too much.
E.g. mp2: /Pool/Media/Video,mp=/Pool/Media/Video

Oh, one thing, you need a separate mountpoint for every dataset. So I have datasets Pool/Media and Pool/Media/Video–each of those needs its own mountpoint. If you have dataset Pool/Media with a subdirectory Pool/Media/Video, you wouldn’t need a separate mountpoint.

So yeah, the conf file for that LXC is a bit long with all the datasets as their own mountpoints…

Check my other reply–you probably are using datasets (like you should).

Thanks - Got there in the end - Same time as your reply lol.

Yep; sorted. Thanks for all your help on this

Probably clutching at straws here, but I don’t suppose you also spin down your hdds on Proxmox?

I do not. But if you’re able to spin them down in Ubuntu I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to do the same in Proxmox.
