Zen 32 core

< 5%. This certainly isn't going to be an AM4 CPU. It'll probably be an LGA CPU based on past AMD server CPUs.

Yup. Can't do that many pins with PGA-ZIF.

Especially since they just announced today it has octachannel memory and 128 PCIE lanes.

MOTHER OF GOD

This thing could have the biggest NVMe raid throughput setup ever. I'd LOVE to see a rig with all that memory occupied and 128 lanes worth of enterprise grade PCIE NVMe storage all in a massive storage array. Would cost stupid money and be a beast of a server.

and it'll be in servers in the first half of 2016

sorta doubt though, since the am4 is very desktop oriented, hence the dual channel only ram etc.

where if your pushing 16core 40mb cache probs want quad channel.

wouldnt be surprised to see a new c32 platform though, where you could have 2 zen 8cores in a dual socket board that might be kinda interesting depending on clocking/if is oc'able if any manus make any decent mobos

otherwise them 16core apu rumors, 32core non apu server shiz clocked super low like 1.4ghz or some shit

But LGA1567 had 10 core SKUs before LGA2011-0, seems weird to start the timeline after 8-core chips weren't the biggest thing from Intel.

I haven't even heard of lga 1567 before, didn't know it was a thing lol

Last gen 7000 series and first gen E7 (Nehalem-EX and Westmere-EX)

Kinda neat subset of products from Intel. Also the only platform that didn't see Sandy-Bridge SKUs. (E7 V2 was Ivy-Bridge-EX instead)
