Z390 Motherboard vrm topic

Well yeah the ISL69138 is a nice pwm it is intersil´s first fully digital pwm.
The isl6617 doublers are indeed very nice and expensive doublers,
because they do load current balancing between phases.
The IR3599 doubler / quadrupler is basically a dum doubler.
The 50A vishay Dr mos power packs have a slightly higher current trough put then the IR3553’s 40A powerstages, that are on the Aorus master.
So on paper the vrm on Elite / pro / Ultra looks better.
But we can only really say in terms of efficiency if we gonna,
compair both vrm implementations at their peak efficieny loads.
Then we have to see which vrm generates the most amount of heat basically.

But all in all both vrm implementations are very decent.
And i dont think that there really is much of difference between those boards.
its a matter of picking the one with the best feature pack.
I cannot really speak for Gigabyte’s bios doe,
but i suppose they have some good progress on that aswell.

I found a pretty nice VRM spread sheet. Might want to use Chrome with translation. (https://www.hardwareluxx.de/community/f12/lga-1151-mainboard-vrm-liste-1175784.html#z370)

Yup i know that site.
I can speak German as well.
Their lists are fairly accurate for the most part.
Although sometimes they contain some minor faults.

Yeah. I noticed that they didn’t have the MSI Z390 ACE’s VRM.

I will see if can find some info on that soon.
