-Spicy tomato sauce-
Mild to me but spicy to others, this recipe is a little more experimental and not exact yet as its my first time trying it this way. Did most of it by eye.
-Ingredients
Olive oil
Chopped Garlic
Chopped onion
Red pepper flakes
Can Tomato sauce
Can Tomato paste
Can Stewed tomatos
Walnuts chopped fine
Italian seasoning
Fennel seeds
Pinch of pepper
Small can of mushrooms
Small can of black olives
-Loose directions
In large pot, warm oil add in garlic, onion and red pepper flakes, saute until garlic is golden brown
Add tomato paste/stewed/sauce and black pepper/fennel/seasoning along with walnuts
Simmer, then reduce heat cook on low for about 20 minutes.
Then add mushrooms and olives. Cook for another minute or two.
Add in chicken or what have you, serve by it self or over pasta.
Turned out well, kinda put to much pepper flakes I think, a little powering but added some more stewed tomatos and its fine
One thing that is missing is shreaded carrot to the saute mix. Really adds that extra bit to take it over the top.
