I am on a dual monitor setup and when I am playing a YouTube video, no matter the size of the video window or its quality, it seems to stutter when I am doing other tasks on the other monitor. Is there a way to remedy this?
My set up is:
CPU: i7 3770
Motherboard: Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
RAM: 2x4GB G.Skill Sniper 1600mhz
PSU: Corsair Gaming Series 700watt non-modular
HHD/SSD: Seagate 500GB SATA Mechanical Drive; Plextor M5 Pro 128GB SATA SSD
GPU: Gainward GTX660ti
Monitor: 2 x 23" Dell S2340L IPS Monitors
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
Browser: Chrome
Thanks for the help!
P.S.
I don't know which category to place this... Moderator, kindly just place this where it belongs if ever =]
I was having problems with YouTube videos ages ago when I was using chrome. Since the YouTube player's last change in Chrome videos were unplayable on my laptop at anything above 480p.
Try watching videos using Firefox and see if that makes a difference. Flash in Firefox isn't integrated like it is in Chrome. This could be a solution even though it's a bit more effort using a separate browser. Videos play with no stutter at 1080p in Firefox on my laptop.
*Edit*
I just remembered. Go to chrome://plugins/ click +details in the top right, scroll down to adobe flash player and disable pepper flash (C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\35.0.1916.153\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll). See if that stops the stuttering.
