Your top five console game favorites?

Even though I know this is a huge, hardcore PC gaming website. I can see that it still has somewhat of a console following. So my question is, what are you top 5 console favorites? Before coming to PC gaming, console gaming was such a big part of my life, because it gave me a way to connect and play with friends. Now these can be from any generation or brand of consoles. I just want to see what your favorite games from the now and the past are and maybe some recommendations for me and others to play! If anything here is my list:

1. Halo Series

2. Mass Effect Series

3. Pokemon Emerald

4. Super Smash Bros Melee

5. Gears of War Series

My console experience didn't include much Sony or Sega consoles, but please feel free to post what ever games you enjoy playing!

4. Ace Combat 5 (first game i played on ps2 and was in love with Fighter jets) 

5. Mario Kart (first game i remember playing)

2. Conkers (Bad Fur Day - Live and Reloaded)

4.  Crash Bandicoot + Racing.

5. Sonic The Hedgehog series.

Valve games are PC ports.

As for console proprietary games:

1. Zelda series

2. Metroid

3. Super Smash Bros. Melee.

4. Lost Vikings and rock and roll racing

5. Mario

Console games up until 2006-7 were good, some really interesting and really good, so even PC gamers appreciate them. After that, they kind of became bland and repetitive, not even Nintendo is what it used to be. I haven't even tried metroid or zelda on wii, so I don't know for sure.

Not sure I can actually rate them 1-5....

  • Tetris (original NES version, that moment when the rocket becomes a tiny little UFO... omg)
  • Final Fantasy III (US, SNES)
  • Chrono Trigger (SNES)
  • Final Fantasy VII (Playstation)
  • Pokemon Gold (Gameboy Color, let's face it, real color was amazing)

Yeah... I'm a typical RPG fan :(

I know but besides them I can't really think of any other console only games I particularily like. That's kinda sad lol. Perfect Dark I guess?!?!? Halo 1/2 is on PC..fuck. Eh still counts though. Anywho I updated it.
