You guys keep on saying how insecure everything is

In many of the recent "The Tek" videos you guys have been talking about how the large companies are scamming people and watching us... the one thing that I never heard was how one can try to make themselves tracked my the NSA, Google, etc. Also here is a cool site that i found www.summonthensa.com. Also what would you say is a good approach to saying to a school "fuck you and your shitty google soft/hard ware get something better that isn't stalking me" without getting suspended or expelled? Finally, what would you guys say the best/most secure web browser for mac is?

The best way would be to go open source(BSD & Linux) and don't rely on outside services. Linux will run on phones, tablets, PCs, and servers. Run your own email and file server and harden it. Use the the internet through VPN and use HTTPS.

Granted, nothing is truly secure just like you can't build an unsinkable ship or have a thief-proof car

Google, incl. Eric Schmidt, is currently attending a 5-part colloquium in Germany, where they are discussing a new standard for human rights protection.

The problem Google faces is that the EU forced them to delete search results, then said it wasn't only valid for Google, and immediately, Japan and China and other really large consumer markets made similar decisions on a general scale.

That scared Google, because suddenly they were persona non grata outside of the US. So now they're trying to come up with a new standard that is acceptable in terms of human rights, and that Google says they will implement on a global scale. We'll see about that, and we'll see whether or not the people at the colloquium are doing their jobs (because they're not the regular EU digital human rights crew).
