This is a good card but, I recommend looking around for GTX 650 Ti Boost because it spanks the R7 260x in price to performance ratio. If you are willing to pay a lil more TigerDirect has one for about $185.

If he was going to spend that amount of money why not just buy a 270 non-x? which is better then the 650 ti boost for the same-ish price?

You have a point. I did not think of that card at the moment but it would be a way better option then what I recommended.

It's a good card, the Boost will beat it but just like what thyskea said, the R9 270 will beat the boost for a same price.
