There's a deal going on jet that is selling the R9 Fury X for $352 (opting out of free returns and using the SHOP10 coupon).
Effectively speaking this deal causes $80 difference between the RX 480 and the Fury.
Currently I am waiting for my preorder of the RX 480, but this deal came about, so is it worth it to pay the $80 for the Fury and cancel the preorder for the RX 480?
what is your screen res? what games do you play. are you going to use windows. these questions need to be answered.
if higher than 1080P fury if you are not going to use windows fury ( current 4.7 kernel borks 480s off of what wnedell has mentioned) if you dont play a lot of intense games 480 is enough. ( do you have space for the 120mm rad )
The fury X is a fast card. It rivals a 1070 or 980ti. The RX 480 is around two tiers below that. 80,- bucks for that jump is well worth it in my mind.
Initially I was going to go with 1080p with the RX 480, but I was waiting for the RX 480 before I would buy a monitor
I plan on playing Tf2, Cs:go, Overwatch. Maybe some Triple A games in the future
I plan on having arch on one ssd and windows on another
My case is the Cooler Master Haf XB, so I think it will fit.
Is the radiator fan a exhaust or a intake?
it can be mounted as either but exhaust is recommended.
