XFX GPU Free Battlefield 4 Promo?

Has anyone else tried this Battlefield 4 Promo XFX has? I got my XFX R9 290 on Feb 28th, and have been trying every day to get my BF4 code, but I always get message that says..."The game code temporary out of stock, pls check again in few days time. Sorry about that." I was just curious if anyone else is in the same boat, or if anyone has actually gotten their code.

 

Not gonna lie, the BF4 promotion was kind of a big factor for me when buying the card, which might seem silly, but before anyone asks, no I didn't buy the card just for the free game. I was already looking into getting an R9 290 but was waiting for the price the drop a little, it finally did, and the free game was basically like another $60 off because I was planning on buying it anyway after I got the card. Plus 3 out of 4 of my last cards were XFX, I tend to like the way their sleeker designs look, and they are pretty much on par with all the other good brands out there IMO quality wise.

 

But I am starting to get kinda aggravated about this "out of stock, check back later" shit. The promotion JUST started when I got my card to my knowledge and it ends March 31st. How can you run out of stock of a digital code? wtf?

The link only talks about the R9 270X?

Whoops, that's not right. I fixed the link. It's for the entire R9 series. Oh and I know it says "For Select R9 series cards, Check your retailer" But I bought mine on newegg and it clearly had the promotion on the card I bought.

XFX might be using that "While supplies last" bit. I don't remember the laws on stuff like that, but I wouldn't be surprised if they only had a handful of codes, and since it's something that will draw in sales, they might have done it as a crappy way to line their pockets.

As an example, there's a store not too far from me where every single time they send out a flyer the front is loaded with things for dirt cheap, but the store literally has maybe three in stock the morning of the sale. I even heard an employee of the store say that for one sale there was a very popular product on sale for very cheap, but the store had a grand total of four the night before.

I used this offer for a r9 270x successfully. However I am from UK so mine came bundled with a card in the box that had a code to enter on the AMD website. Not really of any use to you sorry.
