I have heard nothing of this card.
I'm on a TIGHT bugdet, I cant spend more than say 90 bucks on a card.
How does this card perform?
I honestly just need something to get me by playing all the source engine games and maybe bioshock.
Will this card suffice?
Are there any other cards in my price range that I am not aware of?
Umm yea that card will work fine. just buy 8800gs from ebay 89.99 bitches. my 8600gts can play bioshock and pretty much every newer game besides crysis on highest setting perfectly fine...a 8800gs will be enough, but for everything else theres mastercard.

the 8800gs at lower resolutions will perform close the the 8800gt or 9600gt
Im playing on a shit ass monitor so ill probably be playing at 1024-768
So I will get performance rivaling a GT at that resolution?
If so, that is fucking amazing.
But i also hear reviews on this card saying it runs extremely hot under load even at stock speeds
I really dont want it to burn out and i also dont have the money for an aftermarket cooler -_-

yeah probably, that's a low res
at that resolution you will be able to play any game out on it. as far as the heat its going to be a bit hotter since its a single slot card but i wouldnt think it would be a problem.

the old 8800 gts's are not really good. ud be better off with the gs or gt.
I'd say this is a pretty good card for its price. There are a few reviews on TigerDirectBlog on youtube so check those out for more info. I think it performs pretty well. My friend has one, he gets quite playable framerates in CoD 4. So yeah =3. I heard this can run Crysis on Medium/high settings at 1024x768 so I think it'll be just fine =3. And if you have a SLI board you can SLI two of these for like, near 8800 GTS-like performance...kinda =3. But it's a pretty good card in my view =]. I heard the 9600 GT dropped in price though =3. So.....yeah =]
ya u might be able to find a deal on a 9600. i mean you would think it would cost less than an 8800 gt
my friend recently bought it, it preformes ALOT better than 8600 and 8500, he also got his factory overclocked, BUT it seems to suk at running AoC, but we blamed it on the game's engine, so the card is all good, unless u wanna play AoC which sux
i will write the same again. get the EVGA 8800GS, its quieter i think u cant control the fan on XFX one its always on 100%, and it perform better. Also if u get like a rigged up EVGA 8800GS like mine u will really happy cause mine performes same as 8800GTX
