XFM Radeon 6670-6 pin power Connector wont fit!

I was recently given a XFM HD 6670, and they were upgrading and gave it to me for free :)

I knew it needed a 6 pin power connector but when i went to plug it in, the 6 pin didn't fit.

Are there different standards/versions of 6 pin connectors and will i have to upgrade my PSU?

Would it just be cheaper to buy a new PSU and a new cheap GPU e.g GTX 750ti( as some models dont require external power)

Any help would be great

Thanks :)

nope it's a standard

i know  you've heard this from your gf's before but 'you're putting it in wrong'

Are you shure it's a HD6670 becase a 6670 dosent need supplemental power it works just from the power of the pcie slot as its a 65w card.

The Radeon HD 6670 shouldn't require a 6pin Power Connection, it dosen't pull that much power
