simple can a AMD HD7870 GHz crossfire with a AX7870 MYST?
i have enough power and a xfire compatible mobo, just need to know if those 2 are compatible with each other or not.

IF your lucky?, You can try down clocking the hd7870ghz to the Myst core clocks and memory clocks. Turn off any boost and it might ( maybe ) CF. Its best to use matching core clocks and memory clocks for CF.

if you go here there is a thumb nail of this <http://sites.amd.com/PublishingImages/Public/Graphic_Illustrations/WebBannerJPEG/AMD_CrossfireX_Chart_532W.jpg> (also if you click the picture it takes you to a different Picture) and and it lists the 7870 Myst (tahiti LE) being compatible only with the 7950 and higher. which is likely because the tahiti is the 79xx series and the 7870 Myst is a Tahiti with a GCN cluster or 2 off.
on the other hand i might work because the 7870 Myst has a single Crossfire connector and 2GB frame buffer, like the HD7870 has.
If i can get one i might try to xfire them. if not it would be a small performance bump.
no, the myst is a 79xx card, not compatible
