Hi Tek Syn People!

Not really a new user here. Just inactive. It seems like this forum is a good place to ask questions and stuff.

So here it is... I currently have an MSI 7750 OC Edition in my rig. I am planning to upgrade it for better graphic performance. Should I buy another 7750 and xfire or sell it away and buy one 7870?

I have a CM 550W PSU which I believe is more than enough. My goal is to use as less power as possible. Does 2X 7750 more power saving compared to one 7870? Or vice versa?

A single card will almost always consume less power, so go for the 7870 and overclock if necessary. Use this - http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp - if you want to make sure your current PSU will run fine, though it should.

Benchmarks say 6870 consumes more power than 7870, I have 6870 pcs+ and it runs fine on fortron 500 w, so you don't have to worry about psu.

Single 7870 is more powerfull, even 7850 would be nice upgrade. :)
