X99 Owners Club

This is the X99 owners club. Use this thread to post your system specifications, temps, and overclocks specific to X99.

I'll start:

System:
i7 5820k
X99-A
8gb Crucial Ballistix
HD 7870 HIS
2TB HDD
500GB HDD
Cooler Master Nepton 140XL

And here are my overclocks:
4.6ghz
1.275 vc
1.92 input voltage
Speed step disabled (not sure what to do here, but wanted the constant frequency)
2666mhz RAM
12-13-13-34-1
1.35V

That's it. I'm not sure as to how to over clock my cache yet, but everything is stable. I'm surprised how well this 140XL performs... Nearly as well as an H100i. The temps never exceeded 80 degrees and averaged at around 68 over a period of 12 hours. Still not sure on SpeedStep.

Edit: the test I used was AIDA64.

That's probably something for the Overclocking section, so you might want to move the topic.

MSI X99 SLI Krait Edition
16 GB Kingston HyperX Predator
XFX Radeon R9 290X 8GB DDE
512Gb Plextor M6e M.2 PCI-E
1TB Seagate Constellation ES.3
NZXT Kraken X61
Corsair HX1000i
beQuiet Silent Base

Overclock
4.5 Ghz @ 1,255
Speedstep enabled
2666Mhz RAM CL14

Moved!

Did you OC your RAM? What voltages are you looking at? The stock 1.2?

i7 5930K
Asus X99-A
NZXT Kraken X60
32GB Crucial Ballistix Sport
240GB Samsung 850 Pro
2X WD 1TB Blue HDDs
2X Asus R9 290 DCUII in Crossfire
Corsair HX1000i
Fractal Design Define XL R2

OC
4.6 Ghz @ 1.26V

Do you use Speed Step or are you running it with it enabled? Looks like a fantastic oc.

I had it turned off at first when I was trying to push it but then I switched it back on Haven't noticed any instability even after 24hours of testing.

I know I'm really astounded at how well it OCs, My wife just jumped to a 5820k and that thing can't OC for poop. 4.5@ 1.3 is a struggle. Even though it stays cool it just doesn't work. Hers is running at 4.4 @1.28 I think. Unless she's changed it.

Jesus. I can run 4.4 at 1.18v...

Yeah we lost the silicon lottery quite badly with that one. We just got it a day or two ago so we haven't had too much time to play with it. I'm sure we'll be able to get the voltage down. Teamps aren't a big issue because hers it cooled by an X61 but I'd still like it to be lower.

That's crazy. I'm just using a 140 in push pull and managed my stable clocks. That's a huge difference in what you and I are able to get. It isn't that bad though if you managed 4.4. Still a huge voltage difference. I think I saw some people who weren't able to pass 3.8ghz no matter the solution of cooling.

Guess I'll put my name on this list.

MSI X99S MPOWER
16GB Kingston HyperX Predator
Radeon HD 6990, Radeon HD 6970 - CrossfireX
Samsung 840 120GB
Western Digital Caviar Blue 750GB
SeaSonic Platinum-1000W
Corsair Hydro H80i
SilverStone Fortress FT02-S

Overclocks:
4.4GHz (two cores set to 4.5GHz)
3.6GHz Cache
Core: 1.257v
Cache: 1.164v
Memory: 1.35v
DDR4-2666 @ 13-14-13-32
All GPUs are set to 900/1375 for stability's sake.

I could absolutely push this chip further, and it showed promise at 4.6GHz when I was testing. My problem is temperature. Although it would only just barely touch 80C at 4.6GHz it wasn't worth it to me. At 4.4GHz it stays below 72C at all times and is for all intents and purposes perfectly suited for what I use it for.

I'm sure if I wanted to cram the H100 into my case I could get that extra jump, but again it's just not worth the hassle. I'm comfortable in knowing the chip has headroom, while keeping my temps in check.

I might actually tweak my cores individually as for whatever reason core 3 is like 5c higher than the others...

32GB (4x8GB) Crucial Balistix Sport @2400Mhz
Radeon r9 280
Crucial MX200 500GB M.2
Samsung 850 Pro 256GB (for VMs)
XFX Pro Series 1050 watt
Corsair Hydro H110 Hydro Series
Corsair Air 540

Overclocks:
4.5GHz
Core: 1.260v

I need to get around OCing the ram to 2600Mhz and cache

My purpose for adjusting two cores a step higher was simply for gaming. Sure it might only equate to 1-5 extra frames in a CPU bound game, but whatever. It's a boost over a boost. However; if the game is going to be using more than 4 cores it's probably not going to need the speed as much as the threads, if that makes any sense.

@Taco_Bell You liked my introduction so much you used it on your post too. :P

I am lazy

So am I. I'm leaving that edit because I'm so lazy.

Currently not a member of the X99 owners club anymore. All stolen!

Shit. Tha sucks man. I poured my savings from the past three years into my rig and couldn't imagine having it stolen.

I am really looking forward to the Radeon Furry that plus x99 will be silly.
