Actually, it is not... i have a friend, rocking Q9300, and i have 760K, he have 7870, i have 270X, i play all games i like, he can't play the same games, not to mention he can't record gameplay of the games, i have recorded...
So no, Q6600 is way outdated...
Q6600 is a true quadcore according to intel's ark page.

It's two Core2Duo chips under one cap on the same platter or whatever it is called. This is why AMD claims to have the first true quad-core...

Thats why i said "was" for it's time it was an awesome cpu so was the Q9300 but once hyper-threading came back in the picture those cpu started to get dated fast
