X570 aorus master

Hello all,

This is the first time I have ever built a PC and so far it has gone very smoothly (after doing a ton of research).
Besides turning on xmp, is there anything else I should be doing in the BIOS? I have never over clocked anything and don’t really want to, I just want to get the best performance I can without over clocking.
As a side note, windows 10 says virtualization isn’t available, but in the BIOS smt is enabled. Is this a limitation of windows not being activated?

Thanks everyone!

You need to enable AMD-V in bios for the vms

Other then that just update bios to latest

Long story extremely short: enable XMP, if everything works - don’t mess with it anymore.

You don’t need to update bios, you don’t need to mess with smt and virtualization if you don’t need this.

Is it working properly? If yes - don’t.mess with it. But XMP is the important part and you ha e found it.
Just update your drivers and stay away from bios.

If you want virtualization. You have to set IOMMU to Enable and Enable SVM, that one is deeper hidden in the menu.

In my opinion you can update the bios to the newest version, 99% of the time it helps performance and/or stability. Sometimes it can degrade performance or cause instability, but those times are very rare. And the next update mostly fixes those problems.
