As you can see the supplied 2.54MM serial cable does not fit this motherboard as it requires a 2.0MM cable. I have contacted ASUS but they offer no help and sent me another incorrect cable.
Just a heads up if you buy this motherboard.

- The board is a WS X299 Sage, right?
- Asus needs to sort their port labeling
- The Manual clearly says that is the serial port
Can you check how that port is labeld? The manual does not tell.
That port has no identification on it and it has a 2.0mm pitch so the included com port bracket wont fit or reach that far.

Found a bag of 2x5 connectors in my collection that could fit. Problem is: I can´t test if they do and some asshat (me) pulled the label off (if there ever was one).
Will edit this post if I find out the name and where you can get the part (will probably be 20 cents or so). Pretty sure that is molex Mini-Latch series… Piece of shit connectors that break all the time in everything…)
I suspect that is some type of recovery header. It’s not present under device manager if its an additional serial port.
