X-Star or Qnix

Hey guys, I want to know what would be the better choice between the X-Star and the Qnix 1440p monitors? I do game (FPS mainly) and I do want to overclock these monitors to around 100-120hz. Will the 6-8ms response times affect my gaming skills? Also, if sooo then would I tell a difference between the Qnix's 6ms and the X-Star's 8ms?

Thank you guys!

Also, is the 1440p worth it? I was looking at the low response time 24' Benq and was wondering if there would be a big difference between 1080p and 1440p.

In terms of response time, there is little to no difference. Believe me I have compared 2ms to 6ms and I cant feel any differences, even when playing something like bf3. There is a HUGE difference between 1080 and 1440 at 27". at 24" there not that much of a difference. I have my qnix at 96hz and it wont go higher without producing artifacts. Honestly, unlesss you're strictly a hardcore competitive fps player, the Qnix or X-Star (doesn't matter which) will be better than the Benq in every way.

Thank you for the response. I will take your word for it but would the difference still be pretty noticeable between a 27' 1440p and a 24' 1080p?

I would also like to know. I am trying to decide between the two also. I plan to run three of them off of two 780's. Which is better?

the thing about 27in vs 24in is the PPI or pixels per inch if the PPI is too low you wil be able to see the pixels and edges. you can combat this by sitting far away till it becomes "retina" isthisretina.com

1440 is much cleaner and has MUCH more detail I really like it because i can see other player and pladscape in detail far away.

The Qnix i believe has a GLOSSY screen. If you're in a room with lights or maybe white wall you WILL notice a butt ton of glare.

I have the Xstar and i can not see any reflections. the Matte finish is amazin.
