I thought Sega was getting out of the console business entirely after the Dreamcast? Or they got bought out or something.
Sega went bankrupt or something like way back when. After that they just started producing games for pc and other platforms. I'm not sure if they'd be willing to get back into the console market or not. It'd definitely be cool if they did though. I remember being really impressed when the dreamcast came out when I was a kid, but I already had a Nintendo 64.
One thing I don't quite get is that, if they are getting back into the console battle, why would they make a controller like this? There are no joysticks. How are you supposed to play any game in present day without at least a couple joysticks? You can't play a 3D game with a single D-pad, unless of course they decide to use the controller's motion as part of the control scheme, in which case I'm really not interested at all.
Lol, I don't remember much of Sega, but that's only because I was a Nintendo addict. I do remember when the Dreamcast came out though. The graphics were so impressive for their time, and I really wanted to get one, but there was no way my parents would allow me to have it because I already had an N64. I knew that it was so much of a lost cause that I never even brought up the topic with them, lol.
