As Ryzen is on its releasing event I assume there are people out there who may be still lingering onto the near-10 year old architecture, until now. So I am asking; if you guys have an X58 motherboard that you want to sell, give away or throw it away for a reason, let me have at them first. Or if you just happen to have an X58 board lying around not needed anymore for any reasons, again, let me have at them first.
If any of you have an Asus Rampage II Extreme for surplus, that'll be preferred. And also, an X58 motherboard with a floppy header is also preferred needed, because the system I'm still assembling will be using the godlike floppy drive. /s
UPDATE: Looks like it'll have to be with a floppy drive header.
I should really update the title. I need an X58 board that has floppy header, cause in case if I want to do some vintage stuff, then I would have an option at least.
You can get internal USB bus floppy drives. Look at the AMD Phenom platforms. They OC better and almost all have floppy and IDE headers :333 atc least the 700 series boards. And phenom X4's are a dime a dozen if you find someone stupid.
Hmm, tempted. Though there isn't a floppy header (but I could go with @FaunCB' plan, if the converters are still available) and recently I've placed a bid on a Rampage II Extreme. >.<
I'll let you know when the auction closes to see if I won or lost.
