I'm a space freak. Recently, I shared a link on my facebook page about some beautiful pictures taken by the Hubble spacetelescope ( /watch?v=GD6W3UkIE10 ), and a friend of mine replied with a comment where he said; "Dude you should totally check out SpaceEngine." And I was like alright_bro.jpg

Holy. Cow. It. Is. Amazing.

So what you're basically doing is flying around in the cosmos. You can explore planets, suns/stars, dust clouds, nebula, clusters, hell you can even go to other galaxies. It's like an Elder Scrolls game - no matter where you go there is always something interesting to explore.

This engine pushes my mid-range gaming system to the max (check my profile for specs). It is still in beta-testing so you might experience some weird stuff and crashes. It is completely free to download:

Also mine was crashing, but running it as administrator fixed the issue.
