Would this cooling setup be okay?

Hi All,

  • Corsair 750d + Corsair 1200i; so 2 x HDD cages (1 HDD) near front fans (2 x SDD, back of motherboard)
  • CPU: 5960x
  • Front Intakes: 2 x NF-A14 PWM
  • Exhaust: 1 x NF-A14 PWM
  • Watercooler: Corsair H105

I'm going to replace the H105 hair dryer fans as one reviewer put it, but not totally sure with what. I believe my options are:

  1. 2 x NF-F12 PWM .... OR .... 2 x SP120

I realise I have to balance cooling performance vs noise. Having done some research to try to understand fans better, I believe the Noctua ones will out perform the Corsair Quiet edition of their SP120.

I'm in the UK, and Kraken X61s and Swiftech H220-X are not available. And I don't seem to be able to find quiet 140mm fans, hence why it seems the H105 is the AIO I'm going to have to go for.

Nutshell: Quiet but with performance; and if H105 is the right choice, what fans? Oh, and more thing, any recommendations on CPU paste?

Thanks in advance

Sim

Noctuas. Always. Better build quality and minimized air cavitation.

Noctua paste is ok, but I've heard good things about the artic silver paste...

Hey, when that AIO's pump goes out, Try this   Go with something like this , It is an actual loop you can build up.   Corsair makes great fans that are not quite so hideous as Noctuas, if you care.

Cool. Thanks

Thanks. I'm looking for a quiet vs stylish system. Of course, if one can get both then great. This will be the first time I've used a water cooling setup. So perhaps in the future, I may look at custom, once I feel brave enough.
