Hello, sence im buying a new graphics card, a 660 my brother wants one aswell, he has an intel pentium e5800 cpu, and he has a geforce gt 420 graphics card atm. He was wondering if a 660 would work with the cpu, but there is a catch, the cpu goes up to 100% when hes playing Alan Wake for example, alice madness returns etc. I told him that it wont work but i would like to hear your suggestion xD. Some guys at a computer store says that it will work and that hes processor is good -.-
The processor would bottleneck it for shure but it would run for a while but later on consider upgrading his CPU.

It will work, its just that thats a pretty old CPU, you could of course upgrade it, youre gonna have to do it eventually anyways. The CPU is gonna be bottlenecking.
