Actually I’m not even sure I really need Ceph
All I am looking for is a shared storage system that I can mount in a few VMs. It doesn’t need to be fancy but it would be nice if I could have a shared space to put container data, configurations and maybe some scripts. Ceph as lots of parts and I just want something that has low overhead and mediocre performance. Bonus if I can use Ansible to create a VM, mount storage and deploy containers.
Ceph really feels like it should belong in a data center with petabyte level data. I want something that is mostly hassle free and shared between hosts. I could use a basic NFS share but there are downsides with that as well. I’m sure there is a way to make it an easier pill to swallow but I’m not seeing it.
