Worth Upgrading to AMD 8350?

Sup everyone,

I've got decent PC build which I use primarily for gaming, two Radeon 6950's / 16gb @ 1600mhz RAM / and an AMD X6 1055t. I'm almost postivie the 1055t is the bottleneck in my system, as its about three generations behind the newly released FX 8350, which I'm thinking about upgrading to. Will upgrading to the 8350 be a noticably significant speed boost? Should I wait to the next generation of AMD FX lineup? In a perfect world I would switch to an i7 ivybridge, but that would also force me to switch my motherboard, and thats not really in the budget right now. I would like to hear your thoughts / ideas. Lemme know what you guys think I should do. Thanks.

ehh, probably not.

Not too many games on this list, but it does show a good improvement, plus it has great OC potential.

If you only really use it for games though, you could really go for the FX6300 and get nearly the same performance.

You didn't list an aftermarket cooler on your system, if you have one great, if you don't, you're gonna want to get one if you do pick up one of the new FX chips because you can get a solid 4.6-4.8GHz OC out of em with a decent cooler (might I recommend the CM 212+/EVO, costs less than $30).

that was very helpful, thanks scorpion.

DO EET, you got a am3+ mobo, get the 6300
