i like having the 2nd network capability since we have pretty good wifi in my dorm. is it worth getting a 450mbps wifi card for it, or should i just get a 150mbps?

i don't plan on having any pci slots on the mobo, so it has to b pcie

or, should i just spend the extra $70 to get this mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157322&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

I suppose it really depends on the advancements in your area as far as internet speed, I live in more of a rural area with still a DSL modem and a 100mb/s internet speed that really isn't at such a speed but is advertised. I invested in a gigabit switch and felt it quite a waste so investing into a wireless card that can allegidly get such signals may be so for yourself, but it seems for 30 dollars not to be that expensive. And if I am not mistaken the 1x card should work in a 16x slot, I personally use a usb adapter.

you can get a wireless n card for like 20 bucks. If it aint wired, no point in investing in it. Thought about using a powerline option? I love my powerline, better then wireless, but still not perfect.

yeah, fitting the nic is not a problem. and i need a wifi card with wpa2, as the wifi in my dorm is encrypted.... i still have wired as well.
