Okso i played the 10 day trial and i finally decided on buying the game its going o cost me $50 all together $20 for the game and $30 for the 60 day game card Which adds up all to 3 months of WoW. Now i want to see if i will get addicted within 3 months or not get the game. I need you to either convince me into buying it or convince me to not buy it.
I really like it but im afraid i will get addicted and start paying $30 every too months for a year >_<
Up to you really, i really didnt find my self too entirely addicted, FFXI on the other hand i played for literally months non-stop, i remember the first week i forgot to eat quite a few days and decided to just go to bed without dinner so i could wake up sooner to play it again the next morning (that game took a couple years of my life away >.>), lol.
Really though its an alright game but once you get to the max level the fun factor begins to drop a bit, as the only thing to do basically is raid (lots of people vs a big dungeon basically) or pvp, while the game does have allot of content now i am sure it hasn't changed too much. Though i will say i have not yet reached the new max level 80, atm my max level is 66, i doubt blizzard changed their end game formula too much.
All in All it is a pretty cool game and if you have the time and money it will be well worth it so long as you don't get TOO addicted too it, and even though some may hate on it even if they haven't played it yet, it really is a good MMORPG as they have done a lot of things right unlike most MMORPGs.
mainstream graphics turn me off hard. it's like how i tried to get into playing FF8 again a couple months ago. failed to capture my attention span the second time around.
graphics dont make the game the game makes up for the graphics
i would much rather play a game with horrid graphics but extremely good gameplay vs a game with god liek graphics and horrid game play *cough*crysis*cough*
i know we're like decades away from a WoW2, if it ever happens, but i'd rather not go on another couple thousand dollar rage on an MMO rpg, especially one with weak graphics. i'd rather wait to play the next best MMO that has graphics/required specs more standard to parts from 2008 at least.
i am yet to a wait one i have been going ape shit lately wanting to play mmo im so bored with my life... and i got bored of all the other mmos and WoW is perfect for me i know many people in RL and online who play who can help in game and WoW has some very good game play.
I was playing to day with a couple friends from school and it was really fun we were doing quests getting drunk (LOL i have no life) pvp'ing ETC... and yah so i think $50 is not a lot i drop $50 on a new game almost ever month this is going to last me 3 months for game play instead of another game i'm going to play that going to last me a month
well if you want to play WoW, then more power to you. i'm not trying to hinder you from enjoying that MMO, i'm just stating my position on it and that i don't feel like playing an MMO with mainstream, outdated graphics.
agreed with corbin, except i quit at lvl 59 instead of 60 XD
i guess if you play casually it's not bad, but keep in mind you're paying for it, so most people feel the need to "get their money's worth". and when you start to concern yourself with all the number crunching and you notice you've become fat and lethargic, it's time to call it quits and go for a jog.

right
and why would you want to go through that realization process

I quite like the graphics in WoW, they work really well for the type of game it's supposed to be.
I guess you're addicated to that game that no one likes anymore, say, Age of Conan? That had great graphics, and now they've had to merge servers because there's not enough people, see how graphics aren't always everything? ;-)
