Hay everyone, I just wanted to get everyones opinion on something. What game do you prefer, World of Warcraft or Guild Wars? I have not actually ever played Guild Wars but i hear its great. So I wondered, WHATS BETTER?!?! Please let me know how you feel about each game.

Guild wars by far the greatest mmo i have ever played.
I could never get into wow I never liked it as much as I like Guild wars

How is GW? Is there like different races, sides( like alliance and horde <-WOW )?What about the cost to play?
WoW is fun if you like PvE (killing scripted boss and raids and all that stuff, the PvP now plain sucks). I played for four years and ya it's pretty fun...I mainly did PvP tho, I hate PvE with a passion.
Guild Wars is fun too..The PvP is more fun and Balanced...more competitive too.
PvE isn't too big tho.
Good thing about Guild Wars: Leveling is actually fun. It's not just a grind fest, you have actual missions that you and your party have to do.
In Guild Wars there are no different races...well with the expantions yes there are but it doesn't make a difference at all.. Unlike in WoW where both factions are at war.
I like World of Warcraft because its more of a social game. I like killing hordies, raiding, pvp, questing, and just standing in stormwind talking to friends. Oh yeah, and I think the whole guild thing in World of Warcraft is great because you can easily meet people of all lvls there not to mention get plenty of help.

and another reason is it is free online play so you dont have to sacrifice 15 bucks a month to the all mighty lord blizzard
The only thing i hated about Guild wars was the fact that when you leave a outpost or town
its all you no one around you unless you have a party
but its not like wow where everyone is walking around its not like that in guild wars

Each guild can have HUGE cities that you build on your own, then have siege vs other guild cities

All 3 games listed in this thread are inferior to circa-late 90's Ultima Online. If you have to pick one go with GW, because its free.
You could always play FINAL FANTASY XI ONLINE that game rocks and FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE will be out next year.
i'm waiting for Aion. Twitch showed us the game a while backa nd i fell in love with screen shots and trailers... although i haven't played it (because beta  account registration was in chinese) i will be buying it when it releases hopefully 
Oh really? You do realize that Guild Wars was made by a small group of people who departed from Blizzard? :p Therefore they're American.
I Will have to agree with _Div. I was a beta tester for UO. UO was an exceptional game.
I find GW to be a much more entertaining game.Â
WoW reminds me too much of EverCrack.
You beta tested UO? That's awesome, I remember all the fun I'd have with my guild going PvPing, trying to come up with the best spell combos and battle strategies.Â
But now it seems all the people who play MMO's don't think it's fun to test their skill against someone else. Instead they'd rather just fight scripted monsters and show off their "awesome" outfits. Infact, most of them seem to be scared of PvP in general.
I miss those days 
UO was legendary. My best online gaming experience was from that game...it was just so great. That adrenaline rush you had when a gank squad was on your tail and you had a litle to much Short Term murder counts...(hehehe)
@Quain, if you havn't heard of that game yet, take a look at Mortal Online. It's currently in closed beta but the devs are old pre-trammel UO players who miss these days. Mortal is aimed to be a fully player driven hardcore game..full loot, PK system, etc. Also, it's skill based, just like UO was.

Yeah at launch it was...I heard that it's pretty damn sweet right now for any old UO player. The PvP is good, full loot and all, there is a lot of guild politics going on too I heard.
