Word 2016 hang when clicking on "save as" don't know what to do anymore

So there is this problem when the Word 2016 on my mom's PC that I just don't know how to wrap my head around. Basically, when you open a document and then on "save as", Word hangs for something like 20 sec. before displaying the locations for save. And if there is several documents open, it just literally freezes. If I run Word in safe mode, then this problem disappear.

But I don't know how to solve this problem. I have the same subscription to Office 2016 on my PC which is less powerful (except for the graphic card) (i5 vs an i7 and 850 EVO vs 850 Pro) and I don't have this problem at all. I tried to repair office offline. Then an online repair that crashed that made me redownload office. I disabled graphic hardware acceleration, cleaned the registry key, there is no unavailable mapped drive (there is none in the first place), disabled the add-ins, disabled OneDrive, nothing solve this damned problem!

Does someone have any idea on how to solve this problem?

so you already tried reinstalling it?

Also why not just use Openoffice/libre office?

best solution is to run 365 online until they work out the bugs. seems to be a 2016 problem. at worst download office13. when you are on the go also google {chrome} has their own in browser version. its not going to be as good as ofice/word desktop but its a great free tool in the meantime

Office is needed as it's for the business. So Openoffice or office online or the the google one out of question.
